Details and Rules for the 2025-2026 United Way of Onslow County Champion Challenge Incentive Program
  1. Incentive Grand Prize: Five finalists from the first entry (Blue Card) participants will be drawn the third Thursday in November, December, January and February. All drawings will be recorded via UWOC Facebook Live at Marine Chevrolet. Get your pledge entries in early to be in as many drawings as possible.
     
  2. Who is eligible to win: Any person who is 18 years old or older, holds a valid driver’s license, can provide proof of auto insurance prior to final drawing, and pledges at or above the “Leading the Way” level ($104 or$2.00/week) to UWOC ’25-'26 Campaign will be eligible to participate in the Blue Card drawing. Any person who is 18 years old or older, holds a valid driver’s license, can provide proof of auto insurance prior to final drawing, and pledges at or above the “You are a Leader” level ($208 or $4.00/week) to UWOC ’25-'26 Campaign will be eligible to participate in both the Blue Card and Red “Sweetheart” Card drawing. An individual can only hold one finalist position. In the unlikely event an already named finalist is pulled in the Red Sweetheart Car drawing, a new name will be selected. Completed entry forms must be submitted with pledge forms and given to the business’ campaign coordinator(s). It is the responsibility of the business’ human resource/payroll department to verify the employee pledged the amount stated, before forwarding pledge forms and entry slips to UWOC. UWOC reserves the rights to determine the validity of the entries.
     
  3. Who is ineligible: Employees and immediate family members of the following groups: UWOC staff and its board members, and Marine Chevrolet Cadillac employees.
     
  4. How the car giveaway drawing works: Five finalists per month will be drawn from the blue entry cards on the third Thursday in November, December, January, and February. On February 14, 2026 the Red “Sweetheart” cards will be used to select the 21st finalist. All finalists must be present or have a personal representative present for the final grand prize giveaway drawing, tentatively scheduled for March 19, 2026. Finalists must provide Marine Chevrolet Cadillac with proof of valid driver’s license and current auto insurance policy prior to the drawing.
     
  5. Requirements: The winner is required to pay all applicable taxes, title, and registration fees relating to the transaction and must pay their pledge to UWOC in full by December 31, 2026. All finalists grant UWOC, and Marine Chevrolet Cadillac the use of their name and photograph in all communication and publicity materials.

Interactive Student Development: To lead and encourage our youth to graduate high school, pursue their passions, and engage in the community.

PEERS Family Development Center

Diaper Bank: The Diaper Bank provides diapers, wipes, and other necessities to families facing financial hardship, promoting the health and well-being of babies and young children across the state.

Outreach: PEERS PLUS collaborates with families and the community to prevent and intervene in cases of child abuse and neglect, fostering safer, healthier homes.

Parent Education: PEERS' parent education classes aim to extend short term support and empathy to parents who are in immediate need of assistance in their role as parents.

Possumwood Acres Wildlife Sanctuary

CENTERing on Wildlife (Caring, Eco-Therapy, Nature, Tranquility, Environment, Raptors): Providing Patients with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Autism Spectrum Disorders the ability to participate in a variety of holistic and sensory biofeedback activities on the sanctuary grounds with the goal of reducing anger, depression, anxiety, stress and high blood pressure while increasing self-confidence, acceptance, positive moods and thoughts.

Scouting America, East Carolina Council 

Traditional Scouting: To assist in providing access to scouting for all youth in Onslow County.

Scoutreach: Scoutreach provides additional support for units who serve low-income/at-risk youth, including supplemental staff and financial support ensuring culturally diverse communities have the opportunity to join and benefit from the Council's programs.

SAT Scholarship Program: Promotes academic and scholastic achievement among students in Onslow County Schools, while promoting the value and necessity of community service.

Sturgeon City  

Sturgeon City Science Programs: is a model for inspiring youth leadership, civic involvement, habitat restoration, environmental education and stewardship of the New River and coastal wetlands. Provide hands-on environmental education programs for all ages that take place at the site of the former wastewater treatment plant for the City of Jacksonville.

WARM NC

WARM NC Rebuilds Onslow County: WARM NC’s Traditional Services are free home repairs and/or accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners in seven Southeastern North Carolina counties, including Onslow County.

Onslow Community Outreach

Caring Community Clinic: The clinic provides free primary medical care to low-income, uninsured, and underinsured persons, age 19-64 years.

Philippians Place

Men's Reentry & Recovery Transitional Housing: Dedicated to providing aid to persons who are homeless, facing homelessness and those in Reentry and Recovery.

Friends of the Aging

Senior Needs: Provides incontinence supplies and nutritional supplements to seniors in need to maintain their health status and quality of life in their homes.

Caring Community Clinic: Provides primary health care services to uninsured and low-income residents of Onslow County.

Onslow Victims Center

Shelter: Onslow Victim's Center provides a safe house, which is in a confidential location, to victims and their children who have fled their homes due to domestic violence or sexual assault.
